Sugar came into our lives a year ago. She was a very distressed and disturbed dog and we probably did not realise just what a challenge she would be. I had nursed her previous carer (I am a nurse) before her unfortunate death this year due to cancer, so I had a special connection with this dog as we had chatted about her during her carer’s illness. With a lot of patience and love she is now a beautiful dog that we love dearly. She is still a bit shy of strangers but even that is getting better and she knows some people whom we meet on our daily walk. She really loves her walks when she can run freely and play with Brandy, our terrier. We continue to foster other dogs and she loves them and misses them when they are adopted. Every dog deserves a second chance and ARRG makes this possible. It is because of ARRG’s continued dedicated work that animals can live and be loved and give love in return.
