Aurie

I'm a happy tail with my new fam since 2025 🩵

Aurie came into our lives in a way we will never forget, and from the very first moment, it felt like she was meant to be ours.

We witnessed her being hit by a car, leaving her with crushed hips and a burst bladder. Despite how much pain she was in, she remained so gentle and sweet and climbed right into my lap on the side of the road.

We rushed her to the vet and told them immediately that if no owner came forward, we wanted to take her home. The expenses didn’t matter to us — we just wanted to give her the best chance of surviving. We were advised to keep an eye online in case someone claimed her, and after about a month we had believed her owner had come forward, which was a bittersweet feeling for both of us.

Then not long after, friends and family began sending us photos of Aurie on the Animal Rights page, where she was looking for her forever home. We couldn’t adopt her quickly enough.

Since then, Aurie has been recovering with plenty of love, patience, bed rest, physio, and hydrotherapy. She still has a long way to go, and we know she may never fully recover, but none of that changes how deeply loved she is. Now she’s able to zoom around our farm and has the funniest, cheekiest personality — she keeps us laughing every day and has brought so much joy into our lives.

We feel incredibly lucky that she found her way to us.
