Tess came into care as a young puppy after being surrendered to the vets in need of an expensive hip surgery. With lots of love, expert care, and her own determined little spirit, she has made a fantastic recovery and is now thriving.
She’s a sweet‑natured, playful girl who adores people and approaches life with that classic Kelpie sparkle. Tess is brave and adventurous — the kind of pup who interacts confidently with everything in her environment. She loves kids, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has taken all her early restrictions in stride. Despite needing a calm, controlled start to life, she’s toilet trained, crate trained, does well being tethered (especially with something interesting to chew), and is already beginning her basic obedience. She enjoys gentle games of tug and will happily shred paper for enrichment. As she grows, Tess will be energetic, intelligent, and eager to learn.
Because of her early hip injury, Tess will need adopters who can help her stay strong and safe as she matures. She’s doing wonderfully now, but sensible exercise, good management, and ongoing guidance will be important to ensure she doesn’t reinjure herself.
Tess is a special little pup with a huge heart and a bright future ahead. If you’re looking for a loving, clever companion who’s already shown incredible resilience, Tess might just be your perfect match.
