ARRG has been given the opportunity to rescue hens from a commercial egg production farm.
We are now taking numbers for organic free range Hyline Brown laying hens.
Minimum of 3 chickens for flock mentality and introduction safety (if you have resident chickens).
The ladies are 18 to 24 months old and still laying. They seek to settle down some where with space, sunshine, secure coop for night time and a good spot to dust bathe.
Before visiting the shelter to meet an animal, please contact us to arrange an appointment. Some of our animals are in foster homes rather than at the shelter, so scheduling is essential.
When applying for adoption, we require proof of home ownership. If you rent, please provide a letter of agreement from your landlord/owner. For dog adoptions, we also need photos of your fenced yard.
