RUSTY, 5 year old male Kelpie x

ABOUT RUSTY:

Rusty and his human companion were living on the streets together when his human fell ill. They were inseparable and it was hard for him to leave Rusty behind as he was admitted to hospital.

Luckily a case worker reached out and we were able to offer Rusty temporary housing while his owner received treatment.

Rusty has been in care since October last year. His human thankfully was able to move into a nursing home, where he is getting the care he needs but unfortunately can no longer look after Rusty nor is he allowed a dog at the home.

We'd love to find Rusty a loving forever home in the Bangalow area, who is possibly willing to take Rusty to visit his human companion once a month to share cuddles together and maybe even have a few games of ball.

Weight: 20-25 kg

STRENGTHS:
- Short, easy to maintain coat
- Friendly
- Cuddly and loving
- Loves, loves, loves to play ball
- Likes water
- Good with some female dogs (he enjoys playing with our female dingo, Sheba)
- Walks well on the lead

CHALLENGES:
- Hoping to find someone who is happy to assist in visits with his previous owner still
- Not good with male dogs
- Not tested with cats
