AMITY, 4 month old female MANX Rumpy - White & Ginger (Van)

AMITY & MARLEY are two young females who came into ARRG care at the same time. They are both the sweetest and friendliest girls who will make a wonderful addition to any family.

Unfortunately Marley came from a colony of cats where cat flu was found, and was likely a carrier of a particularly bad form of flu that is quite contagious. This meant that all the very young kittens at the foster home at that time came down with the flu and required treatment. Older teenagers and healthy adults had enough resistance to withstand this flu.

Vet advice is that these kittens should not be introduced to a resident cat without first discussing it with your own vet.

It is worth noting that the problem with adopting any rescue cat is that you do not know their medical history. So at least for these two kittens, you know that they have had this cat flu.

However we do prefer that these two girls are adopted together, rather than adopt one now with the intent of adopting a companion at a later date.

Because Amity is a Manx, you should research the breed's possible medical issues, although nothing has become evident as yet. So it is highly unlikely that she will have any medical issues down the track.

To expedite the adoption process, click on 'I want to ADOPT ' OR email ARRG ( proof of home ownership, or if you rent, a letter of agreement from your landlord/owner.

You can also take this opportunity to tell us why you would make the best guardian for these two kittens.

When we receive your application (hopefully for both kittens) we will discuss in greater depth the health issues you will need to be aware of.

Please FOLLOW and SHARE the ARRG Facebook page, where you can view the latest photos/videos of the animals in care, and new arrivals.
