HALLE, 1 year 7 month old female DSH Black

HALLE was a street kitten, along with her two brothers, in Casino. When a kind-hearted person saw she was pregnant at only 5 or 6 months of age, they set about trapping the three cats. When finally trapped the two brothers went to the Casino Shelter, and Halle was surrendered to ARRG heavily pregnant.

This all happened in Halloween week, hence her name.

She had six kittens the next morning, but only two survived the first week, having been born prematurely. Her remaining two kittens are Trick (2323) & Treat (2324).

Halle is EXTREMELY cautious around humans and it has taken many weeks for her foster carer to win her trust.

However she is good with other cats.

Once she was able to successfully feed her two kittens, an orphan kitten, Tatum from Tatham (2325) was brought into care. Halle immediately accepted young Tatum.

Then Mannix (2363), the special needs Manx with Swimmer Sydrome, became mildly ill and Halle immediately took him into her litter and started caring for him as one of her own Mannix loves having a small family to play with.

Halle is cautious about being touched, but is anxious to be loved. So she would need to be adopted by a very special person who would be patient and who understands cat behaviour. However this is likely to be a long process.

To expedite the adoption process, click on 'I want to ADOPT ' or email ARRG (nonkill@animalrights.org.au) proof of home ownership, or if you rent, a letter of agreement from your landlord/owner.

You can also take this opportunity to tell us why you would make the best guardian for this cat.

Please FOLLOW and SHARE the ARRG Facebook page, where you can view the latest photos/videos of the animals in care, and new arrivals.
