Gypsy saves Meg
Date Uploaded: 19 Jul 2010
We received a call on Friday from Meg a lady featured in a story telling about the incident, which we hadn't heard about or seen on the news.
Meg also called ARRG to make a donation to help us rescue other pound deathrow dogs.
Gypsy a cattle x dog rescued by ARRG from the pound deathrow and previously rehomed with a wonderful couple in Kyogle has become a hero by saving a neighbour that lay injured with a broken hip on her property after a serious fall.
This story is inspiring as all animal hero stories are and lets hope this one also carries the important message about the many tens of thousand wonderful, loyal, healthy but unwanted companion animals that end their life in a council pound every year in Australia, through no fault of their own.
Let us know your thoughts about this story and if you know how to recommend Gypsy for an award if the media doesn't follow it through. Gypsy's story just re-inforces our belief and drive to stop the killing of all our wonderful animal friends.
Hopefully Gypsy will be recommended for one of the Hero dog awards.
